I support the Green Party and specifically President Howie Hawkins and his Vice President Angela Walker.
Sooooo! What political party do you support?
I don't live in the USA, so I cannot vote for a party there. However, if I had to, I would vote for Trump.
Because propaganda is often ironic.
Which American presidents did NOT start a war?
Media hailed Obama, he was loved around the world, yet he was just one more warmaker.
Media hates Trump, he is hated around the world, yet he is one of the very few presidents that did not start a war.
Look at Hillary, Obama, Bush, etc.... Warmongers par excellence!
That's why I would vote for him. He speaks aggressively and makes his points clear in an ultra direct and human manner (which I very much like), BUT he does not act aggressively. All he does is care about the USA and of course many of his actions aren't great. But he is since a long time one of the extremely few politicians, you can actually believe, because he says what he means and he tries to achieve what he says and does not only talk about it and then, once elected, drop the actions that should've followed on the speeches.
He brought North & South Korea a step closer together.
What I also love is a video, where people are asked if they like certain policies, that all sounded like they would help the majority of the people. All people agreed with most of the proposed policies. Then, they were told that Trump had these policies planned and they couldn't believe that, because all they hear in the media is "orange man bad" and they themselves were Hillary voters, too. (Unfortunately, I did not manage to find the video again. If I will find it, I will add it here.)
@Akito Just give Trump a few more months. He is working hard to alienate North Korea, Iran, Russia, Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, etc. Not to mention NOT STOPPING the war in Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, many in Africa. Hating on China to get the focus off of Trump NOT handling the Covid-19 crisis the best way possible. Trump DIDN'T handle the Covid-19 crisis at all. He acted too late and with the completely wrong actions. I hate him like I never hated anyone else. He wants to escalate the nuclear arsenal! Crazy!
You seem to have an absolutist approach, while I see it rather relativistic.
When Trump got elected, so many people cried about incoming fascism, people were leaving the country and conspiracy theorists even claimed that the US will burn down and be entirely destroyed, just because of the successful election of Trump.
None of that happened. Not even remotely. So comparing Trump's status quo with what was expected by many, is by astronomical amounts better.
Just give Trump a few more months. He is working hard to alienate North Korea, Iran, Russia, Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, etc.
To be frank, I hear this mantra since 2016. Still did not happen as expected, with the exception of, in my opinion, very minor incidents, especially compared to other presidents.
Not to mention NOT STOPPING the war in Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, many in Africa.
What war did Bush stop? How about Obama? Again, I am comparing and seeing it from a relativistic perspective.
Hating on China to get the focus off of Trump NOT handling the Covid-19 crisis the best way possible. Trump DIDN'T handle the Covid-19 crisis at all. He acted too late and with the completely wrong actions.
Well, the grass is always greener on the other side. Same with this situation. In Europe, the COVID-19 situation was (and partially still is) handled in a bad way. There was even a time, where ground borders were closed, while anyone could still fly in and fly out through planes. This was just utter stupidy. So handling the situation in such a miserable way is not a Trump-bound phenomenon.
I hate him like I never hated anyone else. He wants to escalate the nuclear arsenal! Crazy!
As did every other president in the past decades that I can think of. So he just continues American tradition. Again, not a Trump-only thing.
That said, it is also clear that he wants to avoid nuclear conflict by any price, or else NK would've already been nuked a year ago. But it did not happen. Because big mouth does not equal big act.
I vote Labor (how we spell it in Australia) and/or Greens - i.e. I swing left. If I was in the UK, I'd have voted for Jeremy Corbyn. Not sure how I feel about the current Democrat candidate, Biden, because I'd pinned my foolish hopes on Bernie, yet again. How might things have gone if the US electoral college hadn't turned over the popular vote, in favour of Drumpf, and Clinton been elected? I don't know, she's pretty awful too, 2016 was kinda like that South Park episode where the candidates were a Douche and a Shit Sandwich.
I've never voted for Australia's version of GOP/Tories.
As for Trump, I genuinely loathe him, he's the most vile "leader" I've seen in my lifetime. I thought the Reagan and Bush years were bad, this chump takes the cake. Bush Jr was a dummy (too much cocaine in the 1980s), but at least he had political minders, Trump has none, and it shows, he's an illiterate moron, a dunce, how can they even let him near twitter, re-sharing racist tweets and batshit crazy conspiracy theories, or 3:00 am tweets of "COVFEFE".
He's not just a vile leader, he's a vile human being too. A walking talking Dunning-Kruger effect narcissistic sociopath, not one single redeeming quality.
I might write "I'm not normally a violent person", but I have been, and hearing or seeing Trump in action, I just want to pummel his bloated tinted face, repeatedly, wait till he drops, give him a moment to stand again (because I'd never kick anyone while they're down), then repeat.
These word do little to describe the seething passion I feel about Trump. And his whole clique of family members assuming unearned mantles, his son in law stockpiling medical equipment while hospitals are screaming out for PPE. The whole lot of them remind me of a flaccid style of cosa nostra.
Just take a look at the worst Covid19 affected countries - all run by Fascists or Tories and their ilk :
(and interestingly, no female leaders! Hey Donny, have you made America great again yet?)
In Australia we have a nutter happy-clapper religitard, "Scotty from Marketing" running the show (oddly enough, our main conservative/tory party, is named "The Liberal Party", who currently "control" the nation), but we're fortunate to also have a federalised system of state governments - it's been state government action (mostly Labor) that have kept the impact of the pandemic to amongst the lowest in the world. And it's been a Labour government led by a woman in New Zealand that has ERADICATED the virus in the "land of the long white cloud".
When I say I vote Labor - this doesn't mean I'm a firm believer in democracy or politics.
My favoured system of government would be syndicalist anarchism...
I think democracy has been proven to be a failed social experiment, and I long of the benevolent dictatorship of Artificial Intelligence...
Let's just hope it's not Microsoft's subversion of AI :
If ever I hated a person, I sure hate Trump.
I'm sure I'm not making friends here with my view on Trump, however I hope you won't be too harsh with the evaluation of my opinion regarding this topic, since I am living far away from Trump and its people, so I may be quite wrong after all.
The only thing I can be very certain of, is the fact, that the way any media displays such important personalities as the president of the United States, is always wrong and never truthful. It is filled with propaganda from either position.
That said, there is certain some truth in what is being said here. However, from my point of view most of it is very overexaggerated. Again, if Trump were such a devil as he is portrayed here and elsewhere, the whole earth would've been nuked several times, already. Didn't happen, yet. I want to judge most people by their actions, not their words or image.
Another thing is, that what you describe as just plain bad (like his Twitter actions, etc.) is what people like me especially like about him. He is authentic. He makes mistakes. He has a big mouth. He gives us the feeling, that he is one of us. Ironically, he is so rich, anyone should presume that he is by now certainly out of touch with the reality of the people, however I feel he is more in our real, actual, reality than any Clinton, Bush, Obama and Hillary warmonger fucks could ever be. So many politicians speak in Corporate, others are just plain dumb (like the ones who permitted the new law about child protection in the internet). Trump, however, is the politician that is the closest to the people. Not despite, but because of his bluntness, his mistakes and his Twitter and other crap. He is one of the few politicians that actually make one feel like they are human and not some robotic Zuckerberg, trying to seem like they are apologizing for Facebook's total exploitation of the users' data.
If he wouldn't do these mistakes, if he wouldn't be such a big potty mouth, he wouldn't be as popular as he is. What you describe as bad is what makes him stand out and better than other politicians. (Though, it is certainly not hard to be better than other politicians, especially, where even Mormon politicians are not only allowed, but also taken seriously. If there were a Mormon politician where I live, they would be laughed out of politics by everyone. Meaning that, Trump is extremely far away from perfect. But he is at least comparatively better.)
